Dual Certification for South American Model

The company recently received Basic Design Review certification from the American Bureau of Shipping and simultaneously obtained Approval in Principle from Norwegian classification society DNV for the basic design of its standard FPSO unit. The certification was conducted on a model that reflects the characteristics of the South American region, where large-scale project orders are expected to be concentrated. During the certification process, design documents and technical standards covering all areas of the FPSO were verified, including the hull, topside structure, and mooring system.

By confirming compliance with international regulations and classification society requirements, Hanwha Ocean has had its design reliability and technical completeness officially recognized.
